Star sand

Star sand is a unique biogenic sand composed of the microscopic skeletons of single-celled sea creatures belonging to the foraminifera group. This rare sand is exclusive to a limited area in Okinawa. Legend has it that star sand brings happiness, leading many to collect and cherish it as a symbol of good luck.
